Clint Eastwood’s Granddaughter Is Taking After The Movie Star In More Ways Than One

Dirty Harry, Unforgiven, A Fistful of Dollars. Clint Eastwood has appeared in some of the most iconic movies of the 20th century. He’s continued to add to his legacy as both an actor and director throughout the 21st, too. But you may not know that he’s also something of a family man. Yes, the Hollywood veteran has eight children and five grandkids. And one of the latter is following in his footsteps in several ways.

Like father, like daughter. Kimber Lynn Eastwood is the eldest of Clint’s offspring and she’s also made a name for herself in the industry. Only she prefers to showcase her skills behind the scenes. As well as working as a film producer, Kimber’s a talented makeup artist. Her credits include Dog the Bounty Hunter and Wheel of Fortune.

Kyle Eastwood, meanwhile, has undoubtedly inherited his father’s love of music. Clint’s second-born has released numerous LPs as a jazz bassist including The View from Here and From There to Here. Plus he’s lent his talents to a whole host of his pop’s films. Yep, you can hear Kyle’s musical prowess in the likes of Gran Torino, Million Dollar Baby and J. Edgar.

Clint’s second oldest daughter Alison Eastwood has dipped her toes in all kinds of waters over the years. She’s been a model, fashion designer, producer, actor and director – just to name a few. Her husband Stacy Poitras’ job, mind you, couldn’t be further removed from the glitz and glamor of Hollywood. He’s a sculptor whose preferred tool is a chainsaw.

Chances are you will already be very familiar with Scott Eastwood. The actor has appeared in several of his father’s films: including Invictus and Flags of Our Fathers. And the heartthrob has also popped up in several box office hits entirely unrelated to good ol’ Clint – such as sci-fi blockbuster Pacific Rim Uprising.

You won’t be surprised to know that Kathryn Eastwood is also no stranger to Hollywood, either. She’s shown up in her father’s hit musical Jersey Boys and once played a pivotal role at one particular Golden Globes ceremony. But Kathryn wasn’t accepting any awards on the night. No, she was responsible for handing them out.

Francesca Eastwood looks like she’s giving half-brother Scott a run for his money when it comes to the title of Clint’s most famous offspring. That’s right, the actress has enjoyed roles in high-profile TV shows such as Twin Peaks and Fargo. And she also married into another showbiz family when she said “I do” to Jonah Hill and Beanie Feldstein’s brother Jordan. Sadly, they split up within a week.

Morgan is the youngest of Clint’s eight kids. And yes, you guessed it, she’s also chosen to pursue a career in Hollywood. The actress appeared in two of her father’s most acclaimed films of the 21st century: Million Dollar Baby and Changeling. And she served as a staff assistant on his biopic Richard Jewell, too.

But what about Clint’s grandkids? Well, Clinton Eastwood was the first to arrive way back in 1984. He’s the son of the Hollywood icon’s oldest child Kimber and her former spouse Anthony Gaddie. Unlike many of the Eastwood brood, Clinton has chosen to keep a relatively low profile over the years.

Clint then became a grandfather again with the birth of Kyle’s daughter Graylen in 1994. And then in 2018 Francesca welcomed a little boy into the world named Titan. The actress had previously revealed she was pregnant at a red-carpet event. And Francesca has continued to keep her social media followers in the loop with regular updates about her son.

There’s another part of Clint’s large family we haven’t yet talked about, mind you. And it’s a part that even once caught the man himself by surprise. Yes, back in the 1980s, grown-up adoptee Laurie Murray was doing some digging into her biological past. And she discovered that her father was none other than Dirty Harry.

That’s right, having been given up at birth, Laurie became intrigued about her biological parents as she got older. After finding out about her ties to Clint, she managed to track him down and deliver the unexpected news. Thankfully the pair have since made up for lost time, though. Laurie also has two kids of her own: Kelsey and Lowell.

The news about his long-lost daughter meant that Clint had become a father with no fewer than six different women. Alison and Kyle were conceived from his first marriage to Maggie Neville Johnson. The pair met on a blind date way back in 1953 and stayed together for 25 years. Their divorce, mind you, only officially went through in 1984.

Clint and Maggie managed to get to the silver anniversary mark, though their relationship never ran particularly smoothly. The former certainly had a wandering eye as he rose to fame across the world. In fact, the western star embarked on an affair in 1959 that would reportedly last an incredible 14 years.

Yes, Clint fell head over heels for Roxanne Tanis after meeting the stuntwoman on the set of Rawhide. Their relationship produced the Hollywood legend’s oldest child: Kimber Lynn. And yet, if the rumors are to be believed, Clint only discovered that he was her father 25 years after she was born.

Maggie apparently had no idea about Clint’s affair with Roxanne. But she couldn’t escape his next extra-marital indiscretion. In the mid-1970s the actor moved fellow Hollywood star Sondra Locke into his family home. Clint twice got the latter pregnant during their time together, but on both occasions she decided to get an abortion. Sondra herself was also hitched at the time to Gordon Leigh Anderson. But theirs was a marriage of convenience as her sculptor husband was gay.

Sondra was still legally wed to Gordon when her relationship with Clint ended in acrimonious circumstances in 1989. The Pale Rider star’s adulterous ways had allegedly continued during their later years. Toward the end of the 1980s he began seeing a stewardess based in Hawaii called Jacelyn Reeves. Their affair produced two children – Kathryn and Scott – both of whom remained a secret from the press until the middle of the ‘00s.

Frances Fisher became another actress to fall under Clint’s spell when she moved in with the star in 1990. The pair had previously worked together on action comedy Pink Cadillac and later shared the screen in award-winning western Unforgiven. Their relationship also produced the seventh of Clint’s children: Francesca.

Clint then became a married man for the second time in 1996 with a woman 35 years his junior. The star walked down the aisle with a TV news anchorwoman called Dina Ruiz at a ceremony in Las Vegas. Later that same year the Oscar winner became a father for the eighth and final time with the birth of Morgan.

And Clint seemed pretty sure that his second wife was the true love of his life. According to Amomama, he said after his wedding, “I’m proud to make this lady my wife. She’s the one I’ve been waiting for.” But it wasn’t to be, and in 2013 the Escape from Alcatraz star headed for the divorce courts once again.

Since then, Clint’s only notable relationship appears to have been with Christina Sandera. The pair with an age gap of no fewer than 33 years went public at the 2015 Academy Awards and have remained partners ever since. Christina was apparently serving as a hostess at the Mission Ranch Hotel owned by Clint when they first met.

According to some reports, Clint could have even more children out there. But when it comes to the eight that we do know of, the star appears to be very much the family man. In 2020 Closer Weekly reported that the Unforgiven director “keeps in touch with all eight of his children and their families. He’s taken great comfort that at this time of his life, all his kids are close.”

As we’ve seen, most of Clint’s kids have made a name for themselves in the entertainment world. But whereas the likes of Scott and Francesca have been busy building careers in Hollywood, oldest son Kyle has chosen to explore his love of jazz music. And it appears as though he’s inspired his daughter to do the same.

Yes, in her Instagram bio, Graylen Spencer Eastwood declares herself first and foremost as a musician. And that’s little surprise when you learn what she majored in at university. You see, Clint’s eldest granddaughter studied her instrument of choice – the drums – at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.

And her father Kyle couldn’t have been more proud of his only child’s career path. In a 2015 interview with France’s RiffX, the bassist revealed how Graylen’s tastes differ from his. He said, “Her style is more funky than jazz. She has a preference for groups like Earth, Wind and Fire, George Clinton or James Brown.”

Despite their different musical styles, Kyle still invited his only child to perform on his 2005 LP. Paris Blue – which topped the jazz charts in France – saw Graylen play piano on its eponymous number. The youngster was only around 11 at the time, but in an interview with the Irish Times, Kyle revealed he was more than happy to encourage her musical ambitions.

Kyle told the newspaper, “[Graylen] loves music. She’s grown up listening to all sorts of stuff and she has quite an eclectic taste. If she said she’d like to become a professional musician when she’s older I’d be happy. It’s not the easiest job and you have to move around a lot to make it work, but I’d support her.”

And Kyle also discussed his daughter with actress ex-wife Laura Gomez in a chat with The Gazette. He said, “She’s a really good girl; we’re quite close.” Of course, Graylen doesn’t just share a musical talent with her father. Her grandfather Clint knows how to hold and to craft a tune, too.

Yes, Clint actually released an album in the 1960s titled Rawhide’s Clint Eastwood Sings Cowboy Favorites. The multi-talented star has also composed the soundtracks for some of his directorial efforts, too – including Mystic River and Sully. He’s contributed to records by k.d. lang, Merle Haggard and Brad Paisley, too.

But that’s not all that Graylen has in common with her hugely famous grandfather. Although music is undoubtedly her first love, she still occasionally dips her toes into the film world. But like her aunt Kimber Lynn and aunt Morgan, Graylen prefers to take a more behind-the-scenes role.

Graylen’s two credits on IMDB are for her writing work on Parzival and Masque d’Or – two short films in the fantasy genre. Clint’s first granddaughter also lent her voice to the former 2015 release about a magical ring. Though she’s not entirely averse to appearing in front of the cameras, either.

In 2018 Graylen happily posed alongside her father Kyle and several other Eastwoods at a red-carpet premiere. The multi-talented youngster was at the exclusive Regency Village Theatre event to watch her grandfather’s latest venture: The Mule. Clint pulled double duty in the crime drama – taking the director’s chair and playing the lead.

As well as inheriting her grandfather’s musical and acting chops, Graylen also bears a strong physical resemblance to the In the Line of Fire star. Yes, her Instagram followers have often remarked about how much she looks like Clint whenever she uploads a new post. And several of Graylen’s pictures show the pair alongside one another.

In one particular photo, Graylen can be seen posing for the press alongside her grandfather Clint and several other family members. The snap was taken at a benefit night for the Eastwood Ranch Foundation. Graylen captioned it, “Found this gem… Such a wonderful night with #family supporting the critters!”

Clint and Graylen may undoubtedly share a strong family resemblance. But one fan was certainly keen to point out which of the pair he preferred in the red carpet photo posted on the latter’s account. He wrote, “I think his granddaughter looks better than her grandfather but loved his movies.”

Of course, most of Graylen’s Instagram profile – which has the handle of “wheresgray” – features her in more stylish poses. The star is also a keen follower of fashion. And she appears to know the next big thing when she sees it.

In 2020 Graylen spotted a monochrome plaid dress designed by emerging talent Jamen Lanogwa. She was so enamored with the outfit – which model Amber Snyder sported at fashion show True Colors – that she contacted Jamen in person. And Graylen asked the in-vogue designer to recreate the look especially for her.

Graylen was cited as one of the best-dressed celebrities of the week by style website The Cut in 2018. That’s right, the musician was named alongside her friend Sofia Boutella in the category of Most Iridescent Dresses. The pair were attending Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week, and the show staged by Sonia Rykiel, in particular, at the time.

And Graylen has combined her love of all things fashion and her good old Eastwood genes to pursue a sideline in modeling, too. The Berklee College of Music graduate is signed with elite agency Karin Models. Plus, she regularly shows off her latest glamorous looks on her social media accounts.

But it’s drumming that appears to remain Graylen’s true passion. The musician can be seen sitting behind a kit on numerous Instagram videos as part of a group named Tom Bolo. In one particular clip, Graylen and her bandmates perform a Red Hot Chili Peppers mash-up at the legendary nightclub Johnny Depp once owned: The Viper Room.
